SAVE – Secure
Access in Volatile
Corporate Design, development and implementation
The humanitarian research project SAVE (Secure Access in Volatile Environments) was initiated by the think-tanks Humanitarian Outcomes and Global Public Policy Institute (GPPi). The aim of this three-year-long research project is to research how the work of humanitarian organisations can be enabled and improved in the world’s most dangerous regions: Afghanistan, Somalia, Sudan and Syria. Since September 2016 the results of this research have been published in multiple reports, briefing notes, and on the project’s website.
It was our task to give the project a bold visual identity, while simultaneously being respectful of the seriousness of the subject matter. A further challenge lay in the necessity of making highly complex interconnections visible and understandable. This challenge was resolved by creating a clear system of icons, infographics, and maps.
